How they are protected
- Scripts on the page cannot read them (HttpOnly).
- They are sent only over an encrypted connection and never to other websites or to our other subdomains.
- Their values are encrypted and signed, so they cannot be read or forged.
- Choosing Essential only removes the optional cookie straight away.
Other storage
Your light or dark theme choice, and whether you closed a notice, are kept in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us.
